64 invitees from 16 and ten countries are expected this year to join the Day of Chisinau's Patron Saint, Info-Prim Neo reports. The invitees confirmed their visits on October 10, said the chief of the Foreign Relations Direction, Gabriela Ciumac. According to her this year the delegation have had no problems to enter the country, as happened last year, when three Romanian officials had to return from the border, not being allowed by the Moldovan border guards. More guests are expected Monday. Deputations from Bucharest, Vilnius, Paris, Petrosani, Piatra Neamt, Baia Mare, Navodari, Targu Mures, Riga, Borlange, Minsk, Odesa, Ankara, Citta del Castello, from Francophone cities will attend the celebrations dedicated to Chisinau's Day. The day when Orthodox Christians mark the Veil of the Mother of God, on October 14, is also Chisinau's Day.
