Chisinau streets to be partially closed to traffic due to opening of motorcycle season Sunday

A number of streets in the capital city will be partially inaccessible to vehicle traffic on Sunday, April 14, between 12 noon and 1 p.m., in connection with the “Opening of Motorcycle Season” event and a parade of motorcycles, organized by the public association “Goldwing Club Moldova”, IPN reports.

The Chisinau City Hall said that the participants in the event will set off from the Great National Assembly Square and will then move on a single lane on Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd – Ciuflea Street – Dacia Blvd. – Grădina Botanica St. Then: Grădina Botanica St – Dacia Blvd – Decebal Blvd – Iurie Gagarin Blvd – Albisoara St. – Grigore Vieru St. – National Renaissance Blvd – Kiev S. – Alecu Russo St – Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd – up to Profesor Ion Dumeniuk St. The route will continue with: Profesor Ion Dumeniuk St – Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd – Alecu Russo St – Moscow Blvd – up to Studenților St.

When back, the motorcyclists will move on the following route: Studenților St - Moscow Blvd – Bogdan Voievod St – Tudor Vladimirescu St. – Calea Orheiului St– Petricani St – Mihai Viteazul St – Columna St, up to the roundabout towards Ion Creangă St – Alba Iulia St – șos. Balcani St – Calea Ieșilor st – Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd – Maria Cebotari St. – Mitropolit Dosoftei St – Metropolitan Cathedral Square.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
