The section of Ismail St between București St and Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd in both directions is resumed as from today, November 10, IPN reports, with reference to mayor general Ion Ceban.
According to the mayor, the repair works on the drainage systems in this area were complex and really necessary and were executed as part of the project to rehabilitate 31 August 1989 St. The exiting sump was in a bad state and didn’t manage to harvest the water coming from Telecentru quarter. There were built two new sumps for increasing the rainwater collection capacity of the network. All the works on the drainage systems within this project were completed with these works.
Works on the sidewalks and roadway follow. A binder course is to be placed on the Ismail – Ciuflea section by the end of this month and the road will be then reopened to traffic.
The street was partially closed on November 4 and the works are expected to be finished by November 20.
