Almost 94% of schools from Chisinau are currently repaired. Educational authorities believe that the amount of work left will not affect the educational process, even if the work is not finished until September 1. The interim head of the Municipal Direction of Education, Youth and Sports, Tatiana Nagnibeda, has the more acute problems are the facades of some schools, but these issues will not interfere with the study process. In the period of 24-29 August, specialized committees will record all the preparation procedures for the new study year, the quoted source stated. Mrs. Nagnibeda believes that the financial help of MDL 400 granted to poor families to ready their children for school will lead to fewer children quitting the school. The Council of Chisinau assigned MDL 2,68 mln for this purpose, of which 76% have been assigned. The families from the Rascani, Botanica and Central regions already received aid, and the families from Ciocana and Buiucani will get their share by August 28. During September, the city’s educational authorities will undertake a thorough examination of the pre-scholar institutions. All 32 pre-scholar institutions will be opened by September 1, as they seized their activity during summer because of few children.
