Chisinau Road Police encourage drivers to buckle up
Starting Tuesday, December 11, and until Sunday, December 16, the Chisinau Road Police are conducting the Safety Belts Save Lives Campaign.
According to Code of Administrative Contraventions and to the Traffic Rules, wearing seatbelts is compulsory for the drivers and for their right front passengers, Ion Roscovanu, Inspector of the Chisinau Road Police’s Department for Traffic Safety, reminds. The rules make exceptions only for drivers making a reversing manoeuvre, driving instructors supervising beginners, and drivers of fire engines, medical vehicles, police cars, escorts.
The fine for driving unbuckled ranges from 0.5 to 1 minimum salary.
