The Battalion on ensuring traffic security of the General Police Station of Chisinau municipality won the first place at the 56-th edition of the Combined Contest, held on July 1, being dedicated to the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs fallen on duty. According to MAI Press Center, 18 teams of different police subdivisions showed their skills in 13 competitions, among them different types of military-applicative sports, swimming and boating. The teams were divided into two groups. Chisinau Road Police was the winner in one of these groups, followed by the Independent Police Battalion No. 2 of the General State Guard Department and the Independent Police Battalion of the district Rascani of the capital. The Special Police Brigade “Fulger” was placed, in the second group, on the III spot, being outrun by the employees of the Exceptional Situations Department and Police Academy “Stefan cel Mare” of MAI, winner of the I place. The 56-th edition of the Combined Contest was followed by a commemoration moment at the monument of policemen fallen on duty, placed in the Valea Morilor Park.
