The inhabitants of Chisinau are urged to store the fir trees after the winter holidays separately, near household waste collection platforms. Such a call was made by the Public Amenities Division, which said that the evergreen trees will be collected in a centralized way and transported to a platform on Ghidighici St for recycling, IPN reports.

“We call on the business entities, organizations and institutions based in Chisinau to transport separately the fir trees used during the winter holidays to the aforementioned address,” the Division posted on Facebook.

According to it, the trees will be sawed and the sawdust will be used by the Green Areas Association when planting roses to suppress weeds and as organic fertilizer for the plants.
