The Chisinau City Hall called upon the inhabitants of the capital city not to buy imported berries sold at the Central Market and near it, Info-Prim Neo. In a communiqué, the City Hall has announced that the National Central Laboratory of Veterinary Diagnosis confirmed that the moss berries sold at the market are radioactive. The radioactivity level is 2-3 times higher than the norm. The moss berries are smuggled into Moldova from Russia’s Bryansk and Belarus’s Vitebsk. The State Public Health Supervision Service of Chisinau municipality warns that the consumption of products purchased in unauthorized places can be detrimental to health.
