Chisinau residents to be informed about benefits of centralized heating system

The advantages and benefits of the centralized heating system, a service provided in Chisinau by the company Termoelectrica, were brought to notice within a communication campaign, which was presented on Wednesday. Veaceslav Eni, the general manager of the company, said that from January 1, information leaflets will be distributed, meetings with residents will be organized and radio and TV spots will be broadcast for 6 months, IPN reports.

Veaceslav Eni mentioned that over the past four years, the company has been in a constant modernization process in order to meet people’s needs. According to the director, the communication campaign is part of the Development of the Efficiency of the Centralized Power Supply System project (SACET), financed by the World Bank. It was designed to inform consumers about the safest and most efficient heating solutions and their impact on people, the environment and the energy security of the country.

Veaceslav Eni says Termoelectrica has modernized over 130 km of heat pipes and installed about 500 individual heat points supposing it is more efficient and it meets people’s needs. It also retooled the pumping stations, as well as the production sources with modern and energy efficient machines, to provide consumers with quality services. “Termoelectrica is a consumer-oriented company, and the launch of all modernization projects started from this objective,” said Veaceslav Eni.

Sandu Ghidirim, chief expert of the World Bank Office and team leader of the project, mentioned that the heating and energy system in Chisinau is modern enough. Everything was achieved in a very short time, thanks to a productive team. The successes are due to the interest in consumers comfort.

Alexandra Can, the director of the company that has implemented the horizontal heating system, says that now the employees love coming to work, because the atmosphere is literally warm and comfy. The heat consumption can be managed independently, and as a result the bill is lower.

Termoelectrica, founded in 2015 following the merger of the companies CET-1, CET-2 and Termocom, provides heat and hot water for over 4400 buildings in Chisinau municipality.
