Chisinau residents ask to be disconnected from heat supply
More and more managers of the Chisinau housing stock ask disconnecting
the apartment buildings from the heat supply in the name of dwellers,
deputy mayor Vlad Cotet announced in Monday's meeting of Chisinau City
Hall officials, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the deputy mayor, the temperature of the supplied heat is
at the limit of the minimum parameters, but in apartments it is much
warmer as it is 18-19 degrees Celsius outside. The persons in charge of
the meters were instructed to disconnect the buildings during the day
and reconnect them for the night.
Petru Gontea, the head of the Public Amenities Division, said only 30%
of the persons who are responsible for the heat meters fulfill the tasks
entrusted by the City Hall to them and the dwellers have to open the
windows as it is very warm inside.
SA Termocom director Mihai Cernei said the minimum exit temperature is
60-61 degrees, while the return one is 40-45 degrees. If the temperature
is lowered, the heating system might be blocked.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca insisted on economizing on heat by
fully disconnecting the apartment buildings between 7am and 7pm and the
municipal institutions, except the education ones, between 7pm and 7am.
