Chisinau Public Health Center fines two education division heads
The Public Health Center of Chisinau municipality fined two heads of district education divisions for ordering taking royal jelly to a number of kindergartens in Centru and Botanica districts without coordinating the move, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the December 19 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said the royal jelly was distributed to the kindergartens in order to be given to children as a vitamin, but was removed five days later because the measure wasn’t coordinated with the Public Health Center.
The Center’s head Constantin Rimis said the royal jelly was delivered to kindergartens without authorization. Any menu must be coordinated with and approved by the Public Health Center. The division heads were fined 2 400 lei in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses, while the product was withdrawn from kindergartens. According to Constantin Rimis, the royal jelly was brought from a private company based in Balabanesti, Criuleni.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport to also administratively punish the persons to blame. He said that the officials must be held accountable for every illegality committed – warned, reprimanded and even fined for three penalties.
