Hundreds of employees from the public and private sectors and volunteers took part in the spring cleanup campaign in Chisinau. The Public Amenities Division organized thousands of waste collection routes. In some of the districts of Chisinau, the figure rose to 500 routes, IPN reports.

The Division’s employees cleaned the yards of apartment buildings, the playgrounds and areas round waste storage platforms and removed the unauthorized waste dumps in all the districts of Chisinau, including in the parks “Valea Trandafirilor”, “Valea Morilor”, “La Izvor”, “Alunelul” and others.

The Chisinau City Hall said the competent municipal service continue the cleanup works. Since the campaign was launched until April 23, the largest amount of work was done in Ciocana district, where 90% of the area was cleaned, and in Rascani district, with 60%.

The general cleanup campaign in the municipality of Chisinau started at the end of February.
