Goods amounting to MDL 4.8 bln were produced in the first 6 months of 2006 in Chisinau municipality, and local authorities say that the volume of manufactured goods has a growing trend. The head of General Economy, Reforms and Patrimony Relations Department (DGERRP), Valentina Merla, announced about this on Monday, July17, at a working meeting of the mayoralty. According to Merla, these results show that the part of Chisinau municipality in the total volume of the national production constitutes over 53.3 %, increasing 2.3 times compared with 2000. In the first six months of 2006 the labor force productivity in industry has also increased, by 9.8 % compared with January-June 2005. Merla highlighted that these outcomes show that there are premises for a dynamic development of the municipality from the economic, social and spiritual points of view, already being registered a certain social-economic stability in the municipality – the incomes grow and the enterprises’ insolvency is halted.
