The national plan of action for implementing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement for 2014-2016 was 73.73% implemented. The progress report was presented by the Moldovan authorities in the context of the meeting of the EU – Moldova Association Council, which is held in Brussels on March 31.
The document is based on the assessment carried out by the Government this January. The areas covered by the report include the political dialogue and reforms, foreign policy and security, cooperation in justice, freedom, economic security and trade.
The report specifies that the political dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union during the implementation of the plan of action saw periods of maximum intensity and also slowdowns determined by political instability. In 2016, the efforts centered on the strengthening of the dialogue and contacts with EU institutions and member states. There was also implemented the calendar of shortcomings aimed at accelerating the elimination of drawbacks accumulated in 2015.
The national plan of action for implementing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement for 2014-2016 was approved by the Government and took effect on October 10, 2014.
