The municipality started to connect the preschools in Chisinau to the centralized heating system. Fifty-nine kindergartens in Centru, Ciocana and Botanica districts began to be supplied with heat last week, IPN reports.

According to the General Education, Youth and Sport Division, with the return of students to school from the autumn vacation, the primary and secondary schools will also start to be connected to heat.

Also, the 54 municipal social and medical institutions are fully ready to receive heat energy. These will be connected to the centralized heating system when the weather grows colder.

Officials of the Division said that air temperature in rooms in children’s medical institutions is monitored and alternative heating sources are turned on if necessary.

The municipal housing stock is connected to the centralized heating system when the average daily temperature during three consecutive days is lower than 10 degrees Celsius.
