Chisinau official fired for using motor pool car for personal purposes
The head of the Education, Youth and Sport Division of Chisinau's Ciocana district Tatiana Crijanovski was dismissed from post for abuse of power on February 1. The announcement was made by Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca at Monday's meeting of the Chisinau services and divisions, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Chirtoaca, Tatiana Crijanovski was discharged in accordance with the Labor Code's articles on abuse of power. She used the motor pool car for personal purposes for several times. Moldova's Customs Service confirmed that Crijanovski traveled to Ukraine by that car in August 2009, not on business. Initially, Crijanovski denied having used the car from the motor pool for personal purposes, but admitted to this later. The Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime launched an investigation into this case.
Two more officials of Chisinau services were fired last yearend for abuse of power.
