As of June 23, the Chisinau – Odessa train that earlier ran on Saturdays and Sundays only will also run on Fridays, until December 8, 2017, IPN reports, quoting the state-run company “Moldova’s Railways”.
Under the agreement signed by “Moldova’s Railways” and representatives of Ukraine’s railways, if the flow of passengers remains high, the new schedule can be extended.
The passengers of the given route go through customs control inside the Chisinau Railway Terminal, before getting onto the train. The procedure is not repeated on the border. Thus, the traveling time to Odessa was reduced by 40 minutes, while from Odessa by almost 50 minutes.
The Chisinau – Odessa train sets off from Chisinau at 8:11am and reaches the destination at 12:25pm. It leaves Odessa at 4pm and arrives in Chisinau at 8:15pm.
