The Chisinau Public Health Center will not issue appraisals, while the Municipal Trade Division will not issue authorizations to business entities for selling food products in the Great National Assembly Square during the winter holidays. An order to this effect was made by Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca.

Contacted by IPN, deputy head of the Municipal Trade Division Valentina Constantinov said this is a correct decision. There are now stalls selling pies, toys and other things in the central square. “This way we will avoid that disaster with all kinds of small houses witnessed earlier,” she stated.

The previous years, the municipal authorities issued authorizations to business entities that traded in cakes, candies, barbecue meat and other food products on an ambulatory basis.
