The institutional integrity of the administration of Chisinau municipality will be strengthened through the appropriate implementation of the anticorruption legislation. This is one of the priorities of the local anticorruption plan of the Chisinau City Hall for 2018-2020 that was presented in public consultations on July 23, IPN reports.
Head of the Legal Assistance Division Valeriu Bogdan in the discussions said the local anticorruption plan of the Chisinau City Hall for 2018-2020 is based on five priorities aimed at preventing corruption. These are: consolidation of the institutional integrity of the local public administration by appropriately implementing the anticorruption legislation; management of the local public heritage in conditions of quality, transparency and efficiency; ensuring of transparency and prevention of corruption in the planning process, tender contest holding and monitoring; improvement of the quality of public services by creating excellent management of human resources; and enhancement of communication with citizens and transparency in the decision-making process in the local public administration.
Based on these priorities, the municipal property is to be registered and evaluated. A register of publicly owned plots of land in Chisinau municipality will be created to monitor these. Before approval, the municipal budget will be proposed for public consultations, while the plan of action will be published on the website of the Chisinau City Hall. The public functionaries will be promoted by contest, based on professional performance, and will be permanently assessed.
The local anticorruption plan of the Chisinau City Hall for 2018-2020 will be proposed for debates on the Chisinau Municipal Council on July 24.
