The municipality of Chisinau will compile rankings of the summer camps. Such a proposal was submitted by the General Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu, who argued that some of the parents are dissatisfied with the conditions in summer camps and take their children home from camps in several days. Such rankings would help them make a better choice when they purchase tickets to camps, IPN reports.

In the ordinary Monday meeting of officials of Chisinau services, Mihai Moldovanu said such rankings could motivate the managers of summer camps to improve the conditions in camps. “There are places that accommodate by 20 children. There are rooms of 14 square meters that house by eight children. It is a serious violation. Many children, after they go to summer camps, return in two-three days because they are not satisfied with the conditions there,” he stated.

In some of the camps, the canteens do not meet the hygiene standards, while other camps do not provide hot water. This and other details should be made public so that the parents know the conditions before they take their children to camps.
