The municipal sanitation company Autosalubritate will buy 3,000 European-type waste containers from a Czech firm whose bid won the tender held for this purpose. The new containers will replace the old ones, and some will be placed where they were missing.
According to a City Hall press release, the Czech company that won the tender has over 20 years of experience in the field of waste collection, sorting and transportation products.
Also, Autosalubrity signed a contract to buy six side-loading garbage trucks from a Serbian company to replace its old vehicles. Another eight trucks will be bought under a contract to be signed later this month.
The international tenders were held as part of the Chisinau Solid Waste Project, co-funded by the Municipality, the EBRD, EIB and E5P.
