Chisinau municipality ready for hot weather
Chisinau's municipal plan to counteract the effects of hot weather is being defined. But even without it, the situation is under control. On Vadul lui Voda's beach, for the first time this year, an ambulance is there from 8.00 a.m. to 21.00. No cases of overheating and dehydration have been recorded for the last weeks, Mihai Moldovanu, the head of the Health Direction told the City Hall on July 7, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to him, the municipal medicare units have enough drinking water for its personnel and citizens who ask for.
The plan provides that mobile medical units and booths selling water and ice-cream are also in markets. The head of the Commerce Direction, Vladimir Nirca, says the situation is under supervision. After they installed medicare points in the Central market, other unit will be set up in other markets in Chisinau.
Deputy mayor Mihai Furtună says there 266 mobile booths selling re-freshing beverages and ice cream in the city.
Earlier the City Hall ordered that employees are allowed to work less during the hours when the air temperature is higher than 30 degrees C. It recommends managers to supply their employees with cu 1.5-2 liters of water daily, and to establish breaks of 2 hours at least.
