Chisinau municipality offers school aid to needy children

Some 8,000 Chisinau children from vulnerable families will get 700 lei in aid ahead of the school year. The money will be available starting tomorrow, IPN reports.

Municipal education chief Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb told the City Hall's ordinary meeting on Monday that such aid is an annual practice meant to support children from families in need. The lists of recipients were prepared by the school principals. The Chisinau Municipal Council offered 5.6 million lei for this purpose.

The parents may pick up the money with an identity card at any Moldindconbank branch starting Tuesday, August 18.
