Chisinau municipality has a new deputy mayor
Nistor Grozavu became the new deputy mayor of the municipality of Chisinau. His candidacy was approved by the unanimous vote of the councillors attending Thursday’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC). The position fell vacant after the Council approved the transfer of Ana Lucia Culev from the post of deputy mayor to that of head of the Culture Division at her request.
The Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca will issue an ordinance the next days to assign responsibilities to the new deputy mayor.
According to the discussions in the CMC, the new deputy mayor will be in charge of architecture, public transport and construction.
Nistor Grazavu said he will take measures to fulfil the General Urbanity Plan, to work out new projects for developing certain zones of the municipality, to optimise the public transport, to reorganise the organigram of the City Hall in order to make certain divisions more efficient. He committed himself to observing the legislation and not admitting corruption in the subordinated divisions.
Corina Fusu, leader of the Liberal faction, asked the new deputy mayor to work out a register of the plots of land administered by the City Hall.
Nistor Grozavu was dean of the Urbanism and Architecture Faculty of the Technical University of Moldova.
