The Chisinau City Hall announced that for the first time the municipality approved a provisional budget for the new year. The measure was taken because the 2015 municipal budget hasn’t been yet agreed in the second reading, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the City Hall.

This temporary budget, approved by order of Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca, is to be fulfilled in accordance with the provisions of the budget for 2014, with particular differences.

Head of the Chisinau City Hall’s General Finance Division Veronica Herta said the volume of expenditure programs that were completed or are close to completion was reduced or these programs were removed from the budget. While the provisional budget will be implemented, no money will be allocated for new measures and actions.

The revenues of the provisional budget represent 2.794 billion lei, an increase of 65 million lei. “The rise is due to the larger amounts with a special purpose received in 2015,” stated Veronica Herta. The expenditure is 2.856 billion lei, a decrease of 63 million lei on 2014.
