The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) which will meet on Thursday will examine the balance of the execution of the budget of Chisinau Municipality for the first semester of 2006 and will rectify the capital’s budget for the 2006 year being based on its execution for the first 9 months. Councilors will also discuss other issues such as the approval of the Program of socio-economic development of the Municipality of Chisinau for the 2007-2010 years; the approval of the Regulations and the accordance of the municipal prizes of merit; the payment of the historical debts of the educational institutions to the Budget of state social insurances; subscriptions to the actions of supplementary emission initiated by “Apa Canal Chisinau” JSC; transfer of Maximovca village out of the jurisdiction of Anenii Noi raion to that of Chisinau Municipality etc. On the whole, according to the agenda, 28 issues are to be discussed by the CMC. After the summer vacation, the Council have met once, but discussed a single issue. Being solicited by the PM, Vasile Tarlev, the Council reduced the price of the season tickets for public transportation of passengers.
