Chisinau Municipal Council may dissolve
The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), elected in the summer of 2007, could dissolve because it is not “functional.” Such proposals were made on June 25 by the councilors Valeri Pavlov (PCRM) and Valeri Climenco (Ravnopravie). Till June 30 the leaders of the factions are to meet and decide how to act further, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The two councilors have stated the present structure of the CMC is not functional, but the councilors only pretend to work, what they do in fact is deceiving one another.
The faction leaders will take into consideration going on vacation till July 29, the day of the parliamentary elections. The decisions made during such a period are populist, councilors said.
If they decide to hold a new session, they will chose issues to discuss, without endless discussions.
The Chisinau councilors managed to hold a sitting on Thursday after several failed attempts earlier. After several hours of discussions, they decided to have a break.
