Nichita Turcanu, a substitute candidate on the lists of the Party of Socialists, occupied the seat that remained vacant on the Chisinau Municipal Council after councilor Petru Corduneanu chose to sit in Parliament, IPN reports.

The Council approved the inclusion of Nichita Turcanu in the composition of the legal commission for public order and local public administration, while Socialist councilor Serghei Basiuc-Branzei will form part of the commission for public amenities, energy, technical services, communications and ecology.
