Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved on Thursday, 23 February, to cancel before the term the mandate of counsellor of Petru Svet, municipal counsellor on behalf of the Communist Party and Tudor Negru, ex-leader of the Communist faction of CMC. The municipal council cancelled the mandates of Svet and Negru, because of their appointment as deputy mayors of municipality of Chisinau, Negru being responsible of social field, and Svet of the economic field. The municipal counsellors also on Thursday meeting cancelled the counsellor mandate of another counsellor of the member of the faction PCRM of CMC, Seghei Cherdevarenco, the cancelling of the mandate was necessary because of counsellor’s death. The acts regarding the cancelling of the mandate before the term of those 3 mandates of municipal counsellor will be presented to the Central Electoral Commission in order to be validated.
