Chisinau municipal anti-epidemic commission mulls measures to fight swine flu
Education and other public institutions will be supplied with liquid soap and electrical dryers. The public conveyance vehicles will be treated with special solutions, before starting routes, as billboards about the new flu A (N1H1) will be erected in the city. These are but several measures of the fight against the pandemic flu endorsed by August 7 by the Anti-Epidemic Municipal Commission of Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The country is on the highest alert, and the population must realize the severity of the pandemic,” said the city's chief hygienist Iurie Panzaru.
From August 24 through September 1, family doctors will work in a special regime to check up the children going to school on September 1. Electrical dryers and liquid soap will be supplied to kindergartens, schools and universities. Info posters will be hanged in class rooms, canteens and halls.
The administration of all the envisaged institutions must insure the control of these measures, said Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoaca.
36 patients suspected of having swine flu have been recorded in Moldova, as two of them proved positive.
