The first technical overhaul stage this year for the minibuses that convey passengers on routes in Chisinau will last from 15 to 24 April, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Chisinau City Hall’s Public Relations Division. The technical condition of the minibuses, their internal and external aspect and equipment will be checked at the vehicle inspection stations in Chisinau. The minibuses that will not pass the technical inspection will be taken out of routes. The inspection results will be announced on May 16. Meanwhile, the Chisinau administration canceled the authorizations for transporting passengers of 116 minibuses and the right to provide such services under an earlier governmental Decision saying that the converted freight vans transporting passengers in Chisinau must be removed from routes. A number of 1,379 authorized minibuses work on routes in the municipality of Chisinau at present.
