The mayoralty of Chisinau municipality might spend almost 1 million lei for organizing the visit of official delegations, invited to celebrate Chisinau Day, held traditionally on October 14. According to the head of the international relations department of the City Hall, Ion Capatana, 30 delegations from 30 partner cities are invited to Chisinau, each composed of three persons. According to him, the last years’ experience shows that only half of the guests accept the invitation, but the financial report was made for the possible arrival of all those 30 delegations. This is due to the fact that this year Chisinau celebrates 570 years since it was attested for the first time, thus mass participation in the events is expected. The employee also highlighted that this report includes accommodation, 3 meals per day and local transport for guests’ expenses. The final decision in this regard is to be taken on Thursday’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), the draft being already approved by the Commission on Budget, Economy, Finance and Local Public patrimony.
