Chisinau man hospitalised with 28% of his body burnt

A Chisinau man was admitted to the Burns Centre with burns covering 28% of his body, caused by a fire started by the man himself. Doctor-coordinator of the Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, told Info-Prim Neo, that the man, aged 51, being drunk, started a fire in his garage, situated on Miron Costin Street. The man was admitted to hospital with 1st-3rd-degree burns of his head, face and legs. A 46-year-old man from the Botanica district of the capital tried to commit suicide with pills and alcohol. He was admitted to “Sfanta Treime” hospital with acute intoxication. The same hospital admitted a 25-year-old man, found in the street in coma of unknown origin. A 15-year-old teenager from Vatra village was hit by a BMW-590 vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old person, student at the Technical University of Moldova. The victim suffered a closed trauma of his femur. The Emergency Service registered 32 cases of mumps, 82 cases of acute respiratory diseases, 59 various injuries, 6 brain concussions and a heart attack, suffered by a 36-year-old man. The same day, traffic agents fined 8 persons for drunk-driving, 121 for speeding, 51 for neglecting traffic lights and 54 for jaywalking.
