A 19-year-old man was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Emergency Hospital after being stabbed several times by a man as he walked along Marinescu Street on Thursday night. According to Tudor Capatana, spokesperson for the Chisinau Police Department, the assaulter is now in custody. The 46-year-old has a criminal past and was drunk at the time of the stabbing. He confessed that he and the victim had a history of fighting. If found guilty of attempted murder, the man could spend from 15 to 20 years in prison. The victim is being treaded for stab wounds in the abdomen, chest and forearm; a II degree hemorrhagic shock aggravates his condition.
