Chisinau lyceum receives funding from MSIF
Universul Lyceum has become the first educational institution in Chisinau to receive financing from the Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF). It received about 1.5 million lei for repair works and 15% of the sum will be contributed by the Chisinau City Hall, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Chief of Mayor’s Cabinet Lilian Carp told the City Hall’s meeting on Monday, July 2, that until recently educational institutions from the capital were not eligible for applying for MSIF financing, but some regulatory amendments were made. Thus, the headmasters of educational institutions in Chisinau have the possibility, and are welcome, to apply for funds.
Moldova Social Investment Fund is a project created with the support of the World Bank and donor countries, in order to contribute to the implementation of Moldova’s National Development Plan.
