After a break of over 20 years, the Chisinau-Kiev international passenger train route is relaunched and will be available for three times a week, IPN reports.
The train will leave the Chisinau Terminal for Kiev on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and will return from Kiev to Chisinau on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.
The maximum seating capacity of the train is 280 places. The train has seven railcars. Two of them have compartments, while two are of platzkart type. The Chisinau-Kiev train route will be operated by Moldova’s Railways and Ukrzaliznytsia.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, said that this is the peace train. The railcars were painted by Ukrainian artists and represent by a region of Ukraine.
