Chisinau has undertaken and continues to take all necessary steps to address the energy issue for the benefit of citizens on both banks of the Dniester River. The Bureau for Reintegration Policies made this statement in response to Tiraspol's proposal that Chisinau urgently send a joint request to Russia and Ukraine, asking for the delivery and transit of gas to the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
The Reintegration Bureau emphasized that the Republic of Moldova, within its internationally recognized borders, is responsible for all its citizens, regardless of ethnic origin, language spoken, political preferences, or place of residence.
The constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova are engaging in discussions with various external partners to prevent and manage a critical situation.
"The Bureau for Reintegration Policies relies, of course, on good communication with Tiraspol, especially if we face an energy and humanitarian crisis in the eastern districts of the country, to ensure timely resolution of all technical issues that may arise. We must underline that in such situations, it is essential to avoid any propagandistic distortions or political exploitation of the situation", the institution further stated.
