Chisinau International Airport holds interest for travelers from Habarovsk

The Chisinau International Airport holds interest for the travelers from Russia’s Habarovsk because it provides more flights to the EU and low-cost offers, Tatiana Semionova, vice president of the Russian company “Komacs” that rented the airport, said in a news conference at IPN.

Tatiana Semionova said the Habarovsk Airport is holding negotiations with airlines for opening new flights through Chisinau so that the Chisinau International Airport becomes a transition one for all the travelers from Southeastern Asia. The airport in Habarovsk does not operate flights to Europe and thus the Chisinau Airport holds interest.

Given that the Chisinau Airport is an international one, all the procedures there are performed quickly and the waiting period is short. This is an attractive thing for the travelers from Habarovsk, who will choose the airport in Chisinau instead of the overcrowded Moscow airports.

Tatiana Semionova also said that after the company takes over a part of the shares in the Chisinau International Airport, there will be instituted a common tariff policy for the airport from Chisinau and the one from Habarovsk and the plane tickets will be sold at the same prices in both airports. This way, the number of passengers who come and go will increase at the Chisinau International Airport. The most important thing is that they will leave money at the recreational areas that will be created at the airport.

The Chisinau International Airport was leased out to “Komacs” for a period of 49 years. The Russian company also manages the airport in Habarovsk.
