The Chisinau International Airport renounces the abbreviation KIV, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spânu has said. The official noted that KIV is an abbreviation of the Russian name Kishinev and will no longer appear on flights boards, IPN reports.
The decision will start to be applied on January 18, 2024.
The new abbreviation of the Chisinau International Airport will be RMO, from the Republic of Moldova.
