The works to prepare the housing stock in Chisinau for the cold season of the year near completion. Deputy head of the Public Amenities Division Simion Roman said the Chisinau apartment buildings are 90% ready for winter, Info-Prim Neo reports. Simion Roman said 1 286 apartment buildings of the 1 624 managed by the Division have been prepared for the cold season. According to him, 95% of the works to clean and wash the piping systems and 83% of the amount of work to repair roofs of apartment buildings have been performed. ”80% of the apartment buildings were issued with technical permits. The situation is better compared with the previous years, when pipes in schools and kindergartens were changed several days before the cold season,” said Simion Roman. He also said that half of the works planned to conserve heat in apartment buildings have been executed. The works consist in replacing doors and windows in buildings. The piping systems are cleaned in all the apartment buildings, while in the blocks where there are problems they are washed.
