The works to prepare the municipal hosing sector for the cold season are in full swing. Maintenance works and works to clean the engineering networks are being performed in buildings and the roofs are being repaired.

Gennady Dubița, deputy head of the General Public Amenities Division, has told IPN that the preparations for winter are underway and the Division is monitoring the work done by housing sector managers who deal with these works directly. First of all, they are monitoring the blocks that are connected to the centralized heating system as this is a sector with greater responsibility.

According to the functionary, the preparing, washing and cleaning of the systems are primarily close to an end in the blocks managed by cooperatives and associations and by the municipal enterprises. When works on the heating systems are ready, the technical passports will be signed. In the case of municipal enterprises, the passports were 30% signed.

Gennady Dubița noted the works are performed at almost the same pace as the previous years or the situation even improved because there are not so many problematic buildings as the previous years.

As regards the repair of roofs, the building managers profited from the fine weather and worked actively so that about 20,000 square meters of roofs in the buildings managed by municipal enterprises have been repaired. The area in the case of cooperatives and associations is of about 7,000 square meters.

After the heating systems are prepared, the block managers focus on thermal insulation, repair of doors on technical stories, basements, etc.
