Chisinau will be the capital of volunteering this week. The municipal authorities launched the volunteering week with the title “I choose to be a volunteer|”. Thus, the youth centers in the capital city invite young people to various activities to promote volunteering in the community. The Municipal Youth Center stages a special event dedicated to young people and youth organizations, titled “VOLUNTalk”. A Volunteer Opportunities Fair will also be held in Chisinau, during which youth organizations will present various projects to attract and motivate those who want to volunteer, IPN reports.

“The participation of young people in the “volunteering week” is an opportunity to learn, have fun and contribute to the well-being of the community. Whether it goes to sharing experiences or joining the team of volunteers, every step matters!”, reads a press release of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sports of the Chisinau City Hall.

The week starts at the Digital Park with a joint event of young people, who come to tell about their experience as volunteers. A marathon of volunteers will take place on Tuesday, and a flashmob meeting entitled “I choose to be a volunteer” will be staged on Wednesday, near the Triumphal Arch in Chisinau. A free tourist trolleybus tour for volunteers is planned for Saturday, and sanitation activities will be carried out in the park on Sunday. In the evening during the week, the young people will enjoy showing of films screened especially for them on the occasion of the volunteering week, IPN reports.
