The leaders of Moldovan athletics Zalina Petrivskaya, Sergey Marghiev and Dimitriana Surdu became again national champions. Zalina won the hammer throw event with the result of 72.91 meters, IPN reports.
“It is a very good result, but I realized that I still have to work on the technique,” Zalina Petrivskaya stated for a TV channel.
Her brother Sergey Marghiev won the same event after throwing the hammer at a distance of 75.61 meters.
Dimitriana Surdu became champion in weight throw with the result of 18.50 meters. All the three athletes have qualified for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics.
The national athletics championship involved about 300 athletes who competed in 17 events.
