The Chisinau consumers with debts for heat to SA Termocom are urged to settle them. In an ordinary meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials on Monday, the company’s commercial director Mihai Arusoi said the payments reached the level of 78%, as against 80% in the corresponding period last year, Info-Prim Neo reports. At the same time, the payments made by SA Termocom to the thermoelectric plants CET 2 and CET 1 constitute 78.9% and, respectively, 77%. “The company does not have debts to Union Fenosa and SA Chisinau-Gaz. The historical debts to SA Moldovagaz are paid according to the memorandum,” said Mihai Arusoi. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said in this connection that the population’s payments should be close to 100% so that SA Termocom is able to fulfill the financial obligations to its suppliers. He asked identifying possibilities for avoiding a rise in the heat charges following the increase in the purchase price of Russian gas. “Moldovagaz, CET 1, CET 2 and Termocom should find solutions to maintain the current charges. I’m sure they can do it if they want to. The difference is not so great to necessitate a rise in charges. SA Termocom should be the first to think how to deal with this issue,” said Dorin Chirtoaca. About 90% of the heat pipes have been tested so far. There were recorded over 100 faults. SA Termocom is to finish the preparation of the infrastructure for the cold season by October 1.
