Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) has approved at its last sitting the foundation of a Folk Music Orchestra within the CMC Culture Department. According to the Culture Department, the Advahov brothers solicited to create this orchestra, having as aims the involvement of the most valuable forces into the performance activity, and familiarizing the population with the national folk music. The same decision stipulates that the members of the Advahov Brothers Band shall be included in the personnel of the Culture Department, due to their lively participation in the cultural life of Chisinau. The municipality will allocate annually about 100,000 lei for the activity of the Folk Music Orchestra.
