The General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of the municipality of Chisinau will be restructured. The municipal councilors approved new regulations that govern the activity of the Division and stipulate its organogram, IPN reports.

The regulations specify the local education divisions that will become subdivisions of the General Division. The primary and secondary education institutions managed by the General Division will be transferred under the management of district divisions, according to their territorial location.

After the reorganization that will result in five new subdivisions, the number of personnel units will be optimized and will be by 26 units lower than at present.

The reformation of the education sector will last until December 2021.

The General Division of Education, Youth and Sport manages 331 educational entities situated in the municipality of Chisinau.
