Fifteen filling stations operating in Chisinau were inspected by officers of the National Investigations Inspectorate on April 3. As a result of the inspections, it was established that the employees of the gas stations modified the data in the electronic system of the filling apparatus. Thus, the drivers paid for 20 liters of fuel, but received only 17 or 18 liters, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Chisinau Police Division, during investigations the police confiscated financial records, oil delivery and purchase registers and other documents.

Supposedly, illegalities have been committed since 2011. The culprits face a fine of up to 20,000 lei for swindling clients.
