Members of the Chisinau District Electoral Council calls on the citizens to immediately inform the law enforcement agencies if they are witnesses to or hear about cases of electoral agitation, IPN reports.

“Under the Election Code, electoral agitation is banned on the election day, including activities and messages for or against candidates involved in new local elections, like those held today. The given ban does not refer to the information already published on the Internet, on posters placed before June 2,” said the Council’s deputy head Ina Babin.

The Chisinau District Electoral Council also calls upon the Broadcasting Coordination Council to monitor the broadcasters and upon all the voters and election runners to show electoral honesty.
