A group of representatives from Chisinau mayoralty, who visited Targoviste, Romania, elaborated a report regarding the organization of Chisinau Days in Targoviste from 19th to 23rd of October 2006. The head of the International Department, Ion Capatana, announced about this during the meeting from Monday, June 26. According to him, in Targoviste, 150-200 persons, including the official delegation, cultural groups, and businessmen and mass media representatives, will represent Chisinau. Capatana also highlighted that the municipality organizes, on this occasion, on Tuesday, June 27, a press conference in the Round Hall of capital’s mayoralty. The representatives of the two municipalities discussed about organizing Chisinau Days in Targoviste at the end of February, when an official delegation of the Romanian city visited Chisinau. The mayor of municipality Targoviste, Iulian Furcoiu, stated then for the press that organizing cultural days is an opportunity for establishing certain sustainable economic relations, underlining that the Moldovan business is already present in Targoviste and 200 Moldovan students study at the State University „Valahia”.
