Chisinau councilor Ilian Casu said the stalls that sell coffee and ice-cream reappeared in the parks in central Chisinau and in the Park “Valea Trandafirilor” even if they were taken away earlier.
After the ordinary Monday meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Ilian Casu said the stalls were overnight connected to the power supply and work in breach of the regulations concerning commercial activity in Chisinau municipality that were approved by the Munich Council.
The councilor noted that in a private discussion with Marcel Zambitski, head of the General Trade, Public Food and Services Divisions, he learned that the activity of stalls was authorized by former acting mayor Silvia Radu right before leaving the City Hall.
According to Ilian Casu, these trading units leave waste behind them and this dissatisfies the people. The European practice shows the stalls should work on the outskirts of parks, not on their territory.
